These Pilgrims Are Family
It's after school on an average day: secondary
and elementary students on the yard, some have been here since preschool.
Everyone is aware of the Pilgrim family. It's a matter of caring, nurturing,
and character building. There's a special quality in a school where the
little and the big mingle. We call it the Pilgrim Way.
It's About Learning
We are proud of our high scholastic
ranking - both in California and nationwide. All of our recent
graduating class are accepted to major colleges and universities: schools
such as Stanford, Duke, Princeton, Columbia, NYU, Cornel, Berkeley, USC
and UCLA to name a few. Many of our
students receive academic scholarships.
Personal Attention Always
Our student to faculty ratio
is lower than average, resulting in small classes. Teachers
spend extra time with students. Personal advisors track
student progress and a college
placement counselor works with each high school grade.
All this makes learning at Pilgrim effective and exciting.
Child Care, Before & After School
Pilgrim School
offers extended day care for parents with an
early morning or late afternoon schedule and require
this additional service.
After
school homework club and enrichment classes make the day
even more fulfilling.
There's Our Summer Place
Not only do we operate a summer
program at the school, we own our summer camp at Big Bear Lake in the
mountains, "Cedar Lake Camp," 270 acres with
a private lake. Here we sponsor "Camp
Pilgrim" and "Pilgrim
Adventure," entertaining and enriching the lives of our students.
Close to Downtown, But a World Apart
We are a safe haven
cradled in the Wilshire Center. Security is provided at all times, and
parents dropping off children will find freeway access close by.
Everything is Up-To-Date at Pilgrim
Although our school
may have some old fashioned values, we're on the cutting edge of creativity
and technology. Take our two computer labs, for instance. Complete in
every detail with the latest hardware and software. Kindergarteners begin
working on our computers, such as our new Pentium 4 2.7 ghz 512 MB memory,
17 inch flat LCD screen machines with a DVD player. Students love them!
