Often young people have trouble with academics, social problems or other difficulty questions and don't know how or where to turn for help and information. Our school believes that every child deserves to have confidence, peace of mind and peace of heart. We believe everyone can overcome crisis, ignorance, and become successful. Pilgrims small student-to-staff ratio provides a nurturing and supportive environment. The Head of School, the Chaplain, School Nurse, our teachers, the Elementary and Secondary Directors all maintain an open door to student in need. The Senior Minister of First Congregational Church of Los Angeles and his ministerial staff are available to provide pastoral counseling to students, faculty, staff, and their families.
Pilgrims also maintains relationships with a number of psychologist and therapists who are available on referral when outside professional counseling is warranted.
