Kathryn Otoshi is an award-winning author/illustrator, best known for her character-building number/color book series: OneZero, and Two. She is also the co-author (with Bret Baumgarten) of Beautiful Hands, a book about possibilities and reaching your dreams. Her newest book, just released, is called Draw the Line, and teaches children about setting boundaries, conflict resolution, and the power of friendship. She travels across the country to encourage children to develop strong character traits and to help teachers find creative methods to engage and connect with their students through the power of reading, art, and literature. She lives in the Bay Area and before she began writing full time, she worked as a Graphic Design Art Director for George Lucas’s Industrial Light and Magic. We are very excited that she will speak with our Early Ed and Elementary students, and then, after school, will lead one of her popular workshops focused on art, creativity, and character-building. Parents and children are welcome to join us in Barnum Room, 4:00-5:00 PM.
